Our new project TAPTOX

Our new project TAPTOX – Air Pollution in Thailand and its detrimental health impacts – has kicked off. Following on from our work on the TAPHIA project we are interested in the toxicity of particulate matter emitted from biomass burning. Samples will be collected in Chiang Mai and Bangkok, Thailand during and after Haze events for analysis (in vivo and vitro) in our labs.
The GCRF and Scottish funding council funded project is a collaboration between Heriot-Watt University and the Institute of Occupational Medicine (UK), Mahidol University and Chiang Mai University (Thailand) and the Australian National University and runs until the end of 2020.
